Breakthrough: Scientists say malaria can now be put to rest

London: Even as millions have been affected every year with malaria across the world, UK scientists have recently made a breakthrough in the battle against malaria, a mosquito-borne infectious disease. Researchers at the Imperial College London have now able to eliminate a population of caged mosquitoes using a type of genetic engineering called CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing technology.
