New Delhi: Since 1947, Jammu and Kashmir has had a history of Central government interventions and unstable coalition governments leading to a democratic vacuum in the state. The state has witnessed four coalitions since independence, of which only the National Conference-Congress alliance lasted the full term from 2009-2015.
